There is currently work ongoing for automatic debug packages for every (compiled) packages in Debian: https://wiki.debian.org/AutomaticDebugPackages I expect them to be available within the next 12 months. So I'd rather avoid adding a manual debug package now -- just to remove it soon again. So you'll have to wait a while, but you'll get one for free. :-) Hope that's fine.
