Cross-posted with [1]. We're currently waiting on a number of build dependencies to make it into Debian before Macaulay2 can be uploaded. Currently in the NEW queue are singular, frobby, and memtailor. Once memtailor goes in, we'll upload mathic and then mathicgb. Packages often sit in the NEW queue for months, so this will take some time.
My packaging work so far can be seen at [2]. Currently there's an issue with gmp (See [3,4]).
