Package: avr-libc
Version: 1:1.8.0+Atmel3.4.5-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Compiling project for atmega2560 fails with error:
(.text.avr-libc.fplib+0x0): relocation truncated to fit: R_AVR_13_PCREL
against symbol `__fp_cmp' defined in .text.avr-libc.fplib section in
/usr/lib/gcc/avr/4.8.1/../../../avr/lib/avr6/libm.a(fp_cmp.o)
Using wheezy version of avr-libc compilation completes fine.

It looks like bug is already fixed upstream:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?33698
Can patch be backported to jessy version?
