Hi, I'm not able to reproduce this exact behavior with jline 1.0, which is to say a null is longer being added.
There are still some problems with jline's interaction with the terminal in general. left-arrow results in the cursor jumping and so incorrect display of previous lines until I hit CTRL-L. However, I believe the issue with the null in particular has been resolved. Thank you, tony
