Package: f-spot Version: 0.1.3-1 Severity: normal Tags: l10n Hi,
I used the "Export to... directory" feature of F-Spot, then selected "static HTML". The resulting HTML is localised into French (which is great), but it doesn't mention the character encoding in the HTML headers. Unfortunately, the French word for "previous" is "précédent", which gets abbreviated to "préc." in the HTML, so it's not pure ASCII. If I then browse the generated HTML in a browser that doesn't know what encoding this is, I get mojibake (ugly characters) in the rendered page. I suppose F-Spot should extract the character encoding from the locale, and add a meta-tag to the generated HTML files. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12 Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages f-spot depends on: ii libc6 2.3.5-8.1 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libdbus-cil 0.23.4-8 CLI binding for D-BUS interprocess ii libexif12 0.6.12-2 library to parse EXIF files ii libgconf2.0-cil 2.4.0-1 CLI binding for GConf 2.6 ii libglade2.0-cil 2.4.0-1 CLI binding for the Glade librarie ii libglib2.0-0 2.8.4-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libglib2.0-cil 2.4.0-1 CLI binding for the GLib utility l ii libgnome2.0-cil 2.4.0-1 CLI binding for GNOME 2.6 ii libgnomeui-0 2.10.1-1 The GNOME 2 libraries (User Interf ii libgnomevfs2-0 2.10.1-5 The GNOME virtual file-system libr ii libgphoto2-2 2.1.6-6 gphoto2 digital camera library ii libgtk2.0-0 2.8.9-2 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libgtk2.0-cil 2.4.0-1 CLI binding for the GTK+ toolkit 2 ii libjpeg62 6b-10 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii liblcms1 1.13-1 Color management library ii libmono0 1.1.10-1 libraries for the Mono JIT ii libsqlite0 2.8.16-1 SQLite shared library ii mono-classlib-1.0 1.1.10-1 Mono class library (1.0) ii mono-jit 1.1.10-1 fast CLI (.NET) JIT compiler for M f-spot recommends no packages. -- no debconf information
