I was attempting to upgrade from 1.9.repro:i386 1.9.7-1 to 1:1.9.7-4 during an upgrade from wheezy + some testing to jessie. On restart it failed with an error message (My current configuration has debug mode turned on). Expected "UserDatabaseFile = file location". Yes I had edited my configuration option but I didn't see a .dpkg-new or .dpkg-old to show me how I should try to reconfigure the package.
