Hello Moritz, I saw your patch on this bug report and decided to give it a try.
When I run through systemd, leafnode is having issues running. Mar 11 23:30:43 learner leafnode[25748]: Refusing connect from localhost.localdomain (::ffff:127.0.0.1) to localhost.localdomain (::ffff:127.0.0.1) (my fqdn: news.researchut.com), outside the local networks. (Check config.example.) It complains about my FQDN. I have been using this setup on the inetd based approach, for years. I'm not sure why leafnode is complaining about it only under systemd. Reverting back, things work fine again.
