Hi Simon, Since I've got the impression that you don't have time just now to package pyvisa, I've prepared an NMU for experimental with the newest version of pyvisa (1.6.3). I'm not a DD and thus an upload would require sponsoring. Would you like to sponsor it? (if not, and if if you approve it, I may ask another DD that regularly sponsor my packages to help me)
Whether you want to keep it as an NMU, or continue improving it as a regular upload, is up to you.
