Package: libfreetype6 Version: 2.5.2-3 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
the graphical display manager GDM crashed and looking at the Linux
kernel messages it was due to a crash in the FreeType library.
pool[573]: segfault at ffffffffffffff00 ip 00007fbb9ff32cc6 sp
00007fff9e1dbff0 error 5 in libfreetype.so.6.11.1[7fbb9fece000+a4000]
Looking at the core dump file, the backtrace was useless as no debug
symbols are available.
“Unfortunately”, I am unable to reproduce this crash until now. And even
if I could, the debug symbols would still be missing.
Is the above line enough to find out where it crashed in the library?
