Package: libmagickwand-6.q16-2 Version: 8:6.8.9.9-5 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
the version of ImageMagick packages with Debian Wheezy suffers from a known and fixed upstream bug, regarding the application of convolution filters when using the MagickWand API. In order to reproduce this issue, try to use the MagickConvolveImage() API function after using MagickSetImageBias(). No matter to which value the Bias is set, the outcome will always lack any bias. This issue only shows itself when using the API. It is not present when using the ImageMagick command line tools. The upstream bug report can be found here: http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-server/viewtopic.php?t=25732 According to it, this issue should be fixed meanwhile, in ImageMagick versions starting from 6.9.0-1 Beta. Just in case someone stumbles across this and is looking for a workaround: I'm not sure, but It seems to me, that the MagickMorphologyImage() function does take the bias into account. best Regards, Andreas -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_AT.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_AT.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages libmagickwand-6.q16-2 depends on: ii dpkg 1.17.24 ii imagemagick-common 8:6.8.9.9-5 ii libc6 2.19-15 ii libgcc1 1:4.9.2-10 ii libgomp1 4.9.2-10 ii libmagickcore-6.q16-2 8:6.8.9.9-5 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.2-3 ii multiarch-support 2.19-15 libmagickwand-6.q16-2 recommends no packages. libmagickwand-6.q16-2 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
