Yes and it works in the X server, and it DOES NOT work in console. I will try to reinstall everything (maybe I left something wrong with all the tweeks I have been trying on the internet) and will report with only the /etc/default/keyboard and see what happens. Will report back in a few minutes (my Debian-core install is very fast). R.
