Let's please not get into this. It seems to break _your_ use case but
it's for sure not completely unusable (grave). It's well worth fixing it for
jessie though.

I completely fail to understand what you're trying to tell me. That's
the commit you proposed to fix 777138 and that's all the commit
message says. How is this related to 776065?
