I was checking on the environment passed to make-kpkg by a script of mine, finally using KBUILD_VERBOSE=1 in the environment to make-kpkg and noticing that the flags that I thought I was passing to gcc weren't getting through because I was using CFLAGS instead of KCFLAGS that the kernel Makefile recognises. So to pass a single option to gcc I have: CONCURRENCY_LEVEL=4 MAKEFLAGS="CC=gcc-5 LD=ld.gold KCFLAGS=-march=athlon64" \ make-kpkg --config menuconfig --initrd linux-image but I am unsure how to pass multiple options to gcc via make-kpkg.
