We should keep the delta with upstream as low as possible. That is why if you want to submit a new or patch an existing AppArmor profile, we recommend doing it upstream first. This will also help to maintain the profile on the long term and allow other distributions to include your profile, too. A detailed documentation on how to contribute your profile upstream can be found on the Debian wiki [1]. Please do not hesitate to send comments about this documentation to me or to the Debian AppArmor Packaging mailinglist [2] so that we can improve it if necessary. You can ask for review of your patch/profile on the upstream mailing list [2].
