systemd by default is silent and does not emit any boot messages, unless you hit a timeout or a service fails to start, in which case it switches to verbose mode. Can you check, if your system is in degraded mode (systemctl status) and if a service failed to start. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
