A bit more info regarding this bug. nftables is under heavy development by the Netfilter Project. Lots of bugfixes and new features are included in each release.
libnftnl 1.0.2 is a very early version, and is lacking some important changes that are included in libnftnl 1.0.3. More specifically: * changes to the XML/JSON formats. * masquerade, redirect and internal set mechanism support * some important bugfixes. * updates to match the kernel API. These subjects are important enough that you should use libnftnl 1.0.3 and nftables 0.4 directly. But don't worry.
