Worked much better except I now see bug again. Think it might be becauseI used the plugin for Caja allowing to fire files as root. My xsession-errors fill up, 500+MB with (caja:2450): dconf-CRITICAL **: unable to create file'/run/user/1000/dconf/user': Permission denied. dconf will not work properly.So same OLD story. I am mainly reporting this to say it is still there. Has nothing new to add. Is impossible to miss bug when is show itself, when swapping kicks in becauseram is gone you notice, but possible not that many run in to it. Depends on how each compute of course. Is nasty so I hope it is acknowledged and being workedon.
Thanks for reporting this. I need to check on this. There were several upstream commit on various MATE components fixing memory leaks, recently. I will ask the upstream author of those patches what he thinks about pushing them into Debian jessie.
