Package: git Version: 1:2.1.3-1 Followup-For: Bug #770655 The warning was introduced in CGI.pm because of a possible vulnerability [1]. According to [2], gitweb is not actually affected by this vulnerability, but the commit can be used as a workaround to prevent the warning. With the patch applied the test ran successfully and I was able to build the packages.
