airodump-ng needs to access to the IEEE OUI database to get the information that correlates a given MAC with a manufacturer. $ airodump-ng --manufacturer ... On Debian systems, this database is provided by the package ieee-data. The package ieee-data changed the path of the database on version >= 20140927.1 (because of #763018). This have rendered airodump-ng unable to find the file, therefore it shows all MACs as unknown. This has been fixed on http://trac.aircrack-ng.org/changeset/2455
