Hi, to get an idea about the severity of the issue I investigated the 29 source packages that build-depend on libsdl2-dev. The following fail on ppc64el and have build logs that seem to point to this problem:

The packages vcmi and openmw ftbfs because of this too, but they are not part of Jessie.
