The bug is confirmed on my system as well. I need to manually disable the eth0:avahi in order to be able to access the internet. The problem arises during bootup when the system is trying to raise the network interfaces. However, creation of the interface is NOT brief as mentioned as it continues to survive until the system is shutdown.
