Hello all, On 2013-06-26 I switched the framework for handling the network from POSIX calls to GIO. It was published in Pioneers 15.1. The GIO library has loops for dealing with IPv4 and IPv6 and several combinations.
I've just done a quick test on a relatively fresh Debian installation: When I start pioneers-server-console, I see that there is a listener on ::1 for port 5556. With 'nc -4 localhost 5556' I can connect to this server. So I will close this bug report in the next release. With kind regards, Roland Clobus Developer for Pioneers
