Package: xchat
Version: 2.8.8-7.2-0
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

The Version reported above is for a patched version I am running to fix
the problem. The patch came from the Ubuntu bug report:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xchat/+bug/1381777

   * What led up to the situation?

Updating openssl that disbales SSLv3

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
   * What was the outcome of this action?

xchat fails to connect to a server that does not support SSLv3

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

xchat should connect
