Hi, Thanks for the heads-up on this. In theory it shouldn't be too hard to fix, in practice it looks like it's going to be kind of intrusive to fix in a way that gracefully works for earlier versions still too.
Partly because the current version test macro we have only looks at the first two version components ... and it looks like there's a few places we'll need to deal with this. Since we're on really short time before the Jessie freeze, I suspect we won't be seeing dovecot 2.2.14 before it releases now. I'll look at whipping up a patch if I find some spare time before someone else sends one, but this might be something that either only happens in experimental now, or not until after Jessie is released.
