Package: util-linux
Version: 2.25.1-5
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
* What led up to the situation?
Connecting my Nokia C5-00 handset to the machine running Debian via USB
cable and selecting "mass storage" as the connection option on the handset.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
mount -t vfat
worked but mount without the vfat filesystem type failed (see Debian bug
report #765801).
It appears that the filesystem detection used by mount and blkid failed.
* What was the outcome of this action?
* What outcome did you expect instead?
blkid should show all block devices with recognisable filesystems on them
that are currently active on the machine.
