I invoke the tools like this (scripted):
eatmydata env DIST=hardy/i386 LANG=C LC_CTYPE=C LC_NUMERIC=C \
LC_TIME=C LC_COLLATE=C LC_MONETARY=C LC_MESSAGES=C LC_PAPER=C \
LC_NAME=C LC_ADDRESS=C LC_TELEPHONE=C LC_MEASUREMENT=C \
LC_IDENTIFICATION=C LC_ALL=C linux32 --uname-2.6 cowbuilder \
--hookdir ~/.hook/ --build *.dsc
I have my pbuilderrc set up to parse $DIST and handle parallel
chroots for all distributions from sarge to sid, with several
architectures, plus some derivates. (I backported an older
version of eatmydata to older distributions for it to work.)
