Package: util-linux
Version: 2.25.1-4
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

   Using a script containing "whereis -b -m -M ... -B ... -f ..."

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

Tested as root following command line

whereis -b -m -M /usr/share/man/man1 -B /usr/bin -f gcc

   * What was the outcome of this action?

bin: /usr/local/bin
gcc: /usr/bin/gcc /usr/lib/gcc /usr/share/man/man1/gcc.1.gz

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

There should be no "bin: ..." line.

There should be no "/usr/lib/gcc" in the "gcc: ..." line.

There have been other changes in programms in "util-linux" after a
upgrade (from libc6-2.19-10(?)), see bug #763668 and still to be
reported bug for "mount".
