When I'm logged into KDE, I get $ systemd-inhibit Who: NetworkManager (UID 0/root, PID 697/NetworkManager) What: sleep Why: NetworkManager muss Netzwerke abschalten Mode: delay Who: PowerDevil (UID 1000/michael, PID 28375/kded4) What: handle-power-key:handle-suspend-key:handle-hibernate-key:handle-lid-switch Why: KDE handles power events Mode: block Who: Telepathy (UID 1000/michael, PID 28584/mission-control) What: shutdown:sleep Why: Disconnecting IM accounts before suspend/shutdown... Mode: delay 3 inhibitors listed. Pressing the power button a KDE dialog pops up, where I can select which action should be executed. (logout, turnoff, restart, with 30 sec timeout). This is exactly what's configured in systemsettings: Hardware > Power Management > Energy Saving > Button events handling: When power button pressed: Prompt log out dialog Everything works as configured. > Can you reopen, perhaps investigate if the problem is really not in systemd > and in case, reassign to kde? Since I'm not able to reproduce your issue with KDE you'll have to investigate that yourself.
