Package: policyd-weight Version: 0.1.15.2-8 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
policyd-weight is not able to create a lookup socket connection if local dns server address is a ipv6 address - policyd-weight tries to create a new socket which fails because socket creation is implemented only for v4 with IO::Socket::INET but not but not for ipv6 with IO::Socket::INET6. The following warning message is generated: Oct 4 15:25:18 smaint postfix/policyd-weight[2926]: warning: child: could not open RBL Lookup Socket to ::1: IO::Socket::INET: Bad hostname '::1' Invalid argument policyd-weight in consequence of the failed socket creation then uses Net::DNS for dns resolution instead of a socket. So a validation should be implemented if used dns ip address is a ipv6 address. If so, IO::Socket::INET6 should be used for socket creation.
