Oh! I actually checked those bug reports some weeks ago, and wondered too if they should be enabled again given their status. Had pending to ask the mips porters, but it seems I didn't write it down and forgot. Well, I think it's ok, as long as you or other mips porters keep that in mind and look for possible strange behavior from this. It will also only affect newly uploaded binaries, and we can always disable it if it seems to cause new problems. Given the above, I'm preemptively including the patch in my local branch targetting 1.17.14, which should happen RSN. Thanks for the patch!
