Package: udpcast

Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

udp-sender --mcast-all-addr 234.20.10.162 --pipe '/bin/tar -B -S -cpf - -C
/srv/flamethrower/test1/ .' --portbase 9002 --min-clients 1 --max-wait 10
--min-wait 5 --fec 8x8/128 --interface eth0 --log /var/log/flamethrower.test1
--max-bitrate 20M --daemon-mode
udp-receiver --mcast-all-addr 234.20.10.162 --ttl 2 --interface eth0 --portbase
9002 --nokbd
udp-receiver --mcast-all-addr 234.20.10.162 --ttl 2 --interface eth0 --portbase
9002 --nokbd

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
   * What was the outcome of this action?

The first start of udp-receiver pipes a tar archive to stdout,
the 2nd start of udp-receiver pipes none, but the sender
displays:
/bin/tar: You must specify one of the `-Acdtrux' or `--test-label' options
Try `/bin/tar --help' or `/bin/tar --usage' for more information.
Pipe process died with code 2

strace captures:
log.16663:execve("/bin/tar", ["/bin/tar", "-B", "-S", "-cpf", "-", "-C",
"/srv/flamethrower/test1/", "."], [/* 27 vars */]) = 0
log.16667:execve("/bin/tar", ["/bin/tar"], [/* 27 vars */]) = 0

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

the sender should start the tar command with all its arguments all the time.
