And current status mails:
So if 7u65-2.5.2-4 builds OK then this bug can be closed.

Today I built the package thus:

apt-get source openjdk-7
cd openjdk-7-7u65-2.5.2
/usr/bin/wget
http://hg.openjdk.java.net/aarch64-port/jdk7u/hotspot/archive/9580ebccfdc3.tar.gz
 -O hotspot-aarch64.tar.bz2
cat > hotspot.map <<'EOF'
# version type(drop/hg) url changeset sha256sum
default drop http://icedtea.classpath.org/download/drops/icedtea7/2.5.2
4ad43b271fd4 b8c1f0e6560a3300d145784c1a73e02ddecbad38b8ce9511a930b1e7599c8c51
aarch64 drop http://hg.openjdk.java.net/aarch64-port/jdk7u/hotspot 9580ebccfdc3
c284568e3e614ed379902839aa5502ea30b7445b35b5eb875920ddd3a09bb798
EOF
dpkg-buildpackage -b

I did the build on a mustang (X-Gene) because the juno boards were in use, but
I copied the final build tree across to a juno board and tried running the
command
that used to fail. I tried it 10 times and it worked every time: real time
about 18 s, user time about 3 times that. So it seems to be working nicely.

I've just started an overnight build on a juno board as an additional check,
though it's perhaps not necessary.

(The -O0 didn't help, by the way.)

Thanks, Ed!

Edmund

Hi Edmund,

Can you confirm that this worked OK so I can cross it off my list,

All the best,
Ed.

One of the Juno buildds is building it now:

https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=openjdk-7&suite=sid

We should know in another couple of hours. I'll let you know.
