I finally got back into trying to make guile 2.0 work, and apparently there are a whole host of issues that need to be changed in lilypond to make it work at all. Upstream is currently working on them, but their work is also exposing bugs in guile 2.0 as well. They are not optimistic that they will be in a position to support guile 2.0 before Debian freezes, and they are also concerned about the long term stability of lilypond with guile 2.0 due to bugs being discovered in both in that short of a time frame. What are your thoughts about supporting guile 1.8 for another release? Since lilypond is going to put more work on your plate, I'm certainly willing to help out as much as I can, but in the end, it's your decision. [Obviously, I think everything that can migrate to guile 2.0 should; it would be a great thing if the only reverse dependency of guile 1.8 was lilypond.] -- Don Armstrong http://www.donarmstrong.com Sometimes I wish I could take back all my mistakes but then I think what if my mother could take back hers? -- a softer world #498 http://www.asofterworld.com/index.php?id=498 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
