Why would a script called "git-pbuilder" try to run "cowbuilder"? That doesn't seem logical to me. I would expect the following: git-cowbuilder => run cowbuilder git-pbuilder => run pbuilder git-Xbuilder => run Xbuilder Adrian -- .''`.
