I'm requesting the removal of the src:libbind package for the following reasons: * The functionality provided by libbind is (mostly) now available in glibc's libresolv, after the resolution of #291609. * There are currently no reverse dependencies in unstable. There were previously several rdeps in the archive (src:ncap, src:wrapsrv), but these have since been updated to use libresolv. * There have been no upstream releases in 5+ years. * There are relatively few users, according to popcon. I suspect most of these installations are due to the rdep in previous versions of src:ncap. * Removing the package from the archive would resolve several FTBFS bugs (#702088, #753601).
