Package: isc-dhcp-client Version: 4.2.2.dfsg.1-5+deb70u6 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, Both stable and current unstable versions of isc-dhcp-client in Debian/kFreeBSD do not configure network interface with address received from DHCPv6 server (ia-na dhcp6 option). In fact, dhclient-script currently lacks the handling of BOUND6 and all other 'reasons' that dhclient should give to the dhclient-script for ipv6. Since ifconfig they put in Debian/kFreeBSD is perfectly able to add (or remove) an ipv6 address to the interface - dhclient-script should be updated to support ia-na, as it does in Linux already. Documenting above-mentioned fact in README.Debian would be welcome too. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.6 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: kfreebsd-amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: kFreeBSD 9.0-2-amd64 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages isc-dhcp-client depends on: ii debianutils 4.3.2 ii inetutils-ping 2:1.9-2 ii isc-dhcp-common 4.2.2.dfsg.1-5+deb70u6 ii libc0.1 2.13-38+deb7u3 isc-dhcp-client recommends no packages.
