Package: xsane Version: 0.998-3+b1 Severity: important I am using a Canon Lide 110 scanner with my laptop through USB. This works okay while saving Single page scanns. I then selected the Multipage mode, it asks for creating the project, which I created. Then, I tried using both Color and Lineart scans. It provides options for the Multipage document filetype, and I selected PDF, which is the default. I scanned both sides of a page, and it showed image-0001 image-0002 After that I hit the Save multipage file. It Shows 'Saving file', and it stops there for ever. I waited for ~15 minutes, and it never showed anything more. It does create a 'multipageproject.pdf', which is just 145 bytes, but does not contain the proper data.
I have also tried the following before trying to save: select image-0001, and then hit Edit image, which could not show the image, and complained no 'image-0001.pnm' file found. However, the actual scanned pages are visible in '/tmp' with filenames like: 'xsane-conversion-genesys:libusb:003:018.ppm-1001-aDUWew' -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.12-0.bpo.1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages xsane depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 2.4.0-2 ii libc6 2.13-38+deb7u1 ii libcairo2 1.12.2-3 ii libfontconfig1 2.9.0-7.1 ii libfreetype6 2.4.9-1.1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.26.1-1 ii libgimp2.0 2.8.2-2+deb7u1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.33.12+really2.32.4-5 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.10-2 ii libjpeg8 8d-1 ii liblcms1 1.19.dfsg-1.2 ii libpango1.0-0 1.30.0-1 ii libpng12-0 1.2.49-1 ii libsane 1.0.22-7.4 ii libtiff4 3.9.6-11 ii xsane-common 0.998-3 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.7.dfsg-13 Versions of packages xsane recommends: pn cups-client <none> ii elvis-console [www-browser] 2.2.0-11.1 ii links2 [www-browser] 2.7-1+deb7u1 ii w3m [www-browser] 0.5.3-8 Versions of packages xsane suggests: ii gimp 2.8.2-2+deb7u1 ii gocr 0.49-1 ii gv 1:3.7.3-1 pn hylafax-client | mgetty-fax <none> -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
