Dear Ritesh,
Thank you for looking at this bug. I dunno what is the correct
recommendation. What is working at my end is :-

~/.config/autostart$ cat gtk-redshift.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Name=Redshift
GenericName=Color temperature adjustment
Comment=Color temperature adjustment tool
Exec=gtk-redshift
Icon=redshift
Terminal=false
Type=Application
Categories=Utility;
StartupNotify=true

and it is working and has been working for quite sometime.

There are quite a few other .desktop files which are in this directory
and they all seem to be working.
