I seem to understand that current procedures regarding libraries is that someone needs to test if the new ucommon builds fine against its reverse dependencies, and then kindly request release team for coordinating a migration. Unfortunately I have not yet found the time to do that (my build environment is my tiny netbook-like laptop, so is slow, and I haven't taken time to figure out if/how I can use Debian infrastructure for it). Please correct me if I'm wrong - ghostscript is also stalled waiting for similar outside-of-Debian test builds, and it would be tremendously helpful to learn that a simpler procedure is acceptable. If I am right, then I kindly ask for help doing these test builds.
