Just to clarify for the folks following along at home:
Steve Kemp accidentally left out a leading 'U' on the last line of the
fixed example. it should really look like this:
# DscIndices: Sources Release . .gz bzip2.sh
# DebIndices: Packages Release . .gz bzip2.sh
# UDebIndices: Packages . .gz bzip2.sh
Bernhard R. Link's fix to cvs [0] already contains the correct
revision.
