please consider providing a python3-wxgtk2.8. This would allow applications for Python 2 (such as gnumed-client) to be ported to Python 3 which is recommended by Debian. Porting to Python 3 is currently not possible AT ALL for wxPython applications because there is NO python3-wxgtkXX package available, no matter which wx version.
