I don't know why, but my new slides I wanted to create showed several nasty " " instead of just space between the image name and the image counter. I found out, that this is, because in html it's written as   and that is because of these lines (502-507): if (!$opt_C and !$opt_c) { # escape "&" in filenames and only in filenames. # if you make captions that aren't html it's your pr oblem. $imagecaption=~s/&/&/g; } which is done after this (line 495-500): # add in the image counter unless -x is specified if ($opt_x) { $imagecaption = $captions[$i]; } else{ $imagecaption = $captions[$i] . " &nb sp;(" . ($i+1) ."/$nfiles)" if (! $opt_x); } So I changed the order and modified to this (starting line 495): $imagecaption = $captions[$i]; if (!$opt_C and !$opt_c) { # escape "&" in filenames and only in filenames. # if you make captions that aren't html it's your pr oblem. $imagecaption=~s/&/&/g; } # add in the image counter unless -x is specified if (!$opt_x) { $imagecaption = $captions[$i] . " &nb sp;(" . ($i+1) ."/$nfiles)" if (! $opt_x); } Now it works fine again. But I don't understand how it could work fine with the wrong order of substitutions but it seems to have done so until recently. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-1-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages igal depends on: ii imagemagick 6:6.0.6.2-2.1 Image manipulation programs ii libimage-size-perl 2.992-1 determine the size of images in se ii liburi-perl 1.30-1 Manipulates and accesses URI strin ii perl 5.8.4-6 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
