Hi! I bzr diff on /boot/grub/grub.cfg revealed – but already from last week as I upgraded to the newer backport initramfs-tools, where booting still worked okay:

Booting today also failed with 3.2.0 kernel so the issue seems to have
nothing to do with the newer version of the 3.14 backport kernel.
