This is indeed a problem. So far as I know acpi-fakekey only works on those architectures it builds on. That being said, it might work on mips* systems, too, but I'm still awaiting feedback. Making the dependency only for some architectures isn't possible as acpi-support is architecture all. The next version of the package will not depend on acpi-fakekey but only recommend it. Would that be good enough for you as a solution?
