        Hmm. Yes, this is an oversight. kernel-package currently does
 not have mainainer scripts, and  one would have to be created just for
 removing the oddly placed configuration files. And then there is the
 issue of merging in user changes in these files with the user changes
 in the correct locations .... that is comlicated too
