Somehow the instructions didn't help much:

/usr/lib/icedove/run-mozilla.sh -g -safe-mode
/usr/lib/icedove/icedove-bin 2>&1 | tee
/tmp/icedove-gdb-$(apt-cache show icedove | grep Version | awk '{
print $2 }')_$(date +%F_%T).log

run-mozilla.sh: Cannot execute -safe-mode.

There it seems Mozilla has changed the possible options for the
wraper script, will change the wiki entry.

If you can update me on that it would be welcome.

I cant see a segfault here. In the other mail there is a segfault
visible. We need a backtrace from it. So reproduce it and create a
backtrace within the gdb.

That was the problem: it segfaulted when called outside of gdb, and didn't segfault when called from gdb.

But I think the debugger will not help here, I assume Icedove is
not crashing. So you please have to take a look into the JS
console (hit Ctrl + SHift + J). Further more you can debug that
Icedove is doing inside.

That didn't work.

Very informative ...

Sorry, it just locked up. Had to force close the icedove windows.

I'm willing to help, but it's up to you to append any information as
much as you can. So please write some more things what you have done
and what do you not have done.

Did this issue happen with a fresh clean profile? Working other
documents as an attachment? What about other pdf files?

Regards Carsten

Will try again in a little while after I've sent this email.

Regards,

Arthur.
