Ok, can you try with the plain upstream kernel sources :

1) get 2.6.12 kernel from ftp.kernel.org, configure it, point the KSRC to it.

2) get 2.6.14 kernel from ftp.kernel.org, configure it, point the KSRC to it.

if 2) fqils, it is q problem with the driver qnd 2.6.14, while if it succeeds,
it is a problem with the 2.6.14 debian header packages.
