Package: gparted
Version: 0.18.0-1
Followup-For: Bug #742942

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

I noticed that I had another filesystem with the same funny filenames and
checksum errors as on /dev/sdc

>From my fsck log:

fsck.fat 3.0.26 (2014-03-07)
Wrong checksum for long file name "Erlknig - Art of the Lied (E).lnk".
(Short name FSCK0000.000 may have changed without updating the long name)
  Not auto-correcting this.
Wrong checksum for long file name "3 Floppy (A).lnk".
(Short name FSCK0000.000 may have changed without updating the long name)
  Not auto-correcting this.
Wrong checksum for long file name "teora - Music Theory Web.url".
(Short name FSCK0000.000 may have changed without updating the long name)
  Not auto-correcting this.
/dev/sdb6: 64690 files, 1232972/2095958 clusters

When the filesystem on /dev/sdb6 was mounted, I could run gparted fine.

If I unmounted the filesystem on /dev/sdb6, gpartd would get stuck
scanning /dev/sdb.

So the error occurs when there is the checksum error for the filename and
the partition is *not* mounted.

Does gparted use different code for mounted and non-mounted partitions?
