Control: reassign -1 emacs24

This bug still exists in Emacs 24 (and now happens regardless of the
font-lock mode setting). It looks like a bug in cperl-mode handling of
magic $, which is a source of a ton of cperl-mode bugs. The "${" rune is
not seen as an opening brace, leading to the "}}" after foo closing the
brace of the function from Emacs's perspective.
