Package: base-files (7.1wheezy5) I am not sure if this could technically be classified as a bug, but /etc/issue is still reporting version 7 with Debian 7.5.
$ head /etc/debian_version 7.5 $ head /etc/issue Debian GNU/Linux 7 \n \l Please investigate.
